LO RECORDINGS boss JON TYE AKA MILKY GLOBE has been creating fascinating music in all kinds of fields for years. ‘Magic Waves’ continues the quest for collaboration and sonic exploration taking the listener on ‘a cosmic voyage into deep electronic space’. Tracks were recorded sometimes in real time – many of the original recordings were made in Russia – as well as via the modern method of internet time travel. Guests on board include JAMES HOLDEN, ISAN (MORR MUSIC), AEROPLANE, LUKE VIBERT and NATHAN FAKE. As you might expect it’s a typically diverse selection where leftfoeld disco beats slide into lush electronic soundscapes, downtempo beats and minimal vibes collide with deep bass and unexpected textures.
