His fresh new approach to hip hop manages to pay homage to the old school sounds that inspired him in the first place and yet breaks all other boundaries you thought you knew.
His love for soul, jazz and turntablism cannot be missed; holding down most of the beats with a scratch, he finds harmony between choir vocalists, childlike recorder and xylophone riffs, turntable melodies and super sub sonics.
