It’s Glam Pop, it’s Art Rock, it’s Hi-Fidelity Lo-fi-tronics. For some it’s reminiscent of DANDY WARHOLS, for others it sounds like FRANZ FERDINAND. It is a delicate blend of 70’s glam,80’s beats and 90’s rock.
This is the second album from the Belgian band that is starting to break outside of their homeland. This is music born of blatant thievery, everybody’s influenced by existing past things, if you’re gonna rip from the past you might as well turn to the best.
The five Antwerp 20-somethings tear through the new album with sweaty exuberance,accompanied by the energy of snarling melodies and breakneck razor sharp rhythms. If ‘Ziggy Stardust’ era BOWIE & MARK BOLAN teamed up with NINE INCH NAILS it might sound something like ‘Hammerhead’.
