NEON NEON is the artist name for the combined musical powers of producer BOOM BIP & SUPER FURRY ANIMALS main man GRUFF RHYS. Their latest single, ‘Raquel’, is a precision engineered, turbo-charged slice of electro-pop – and ode to US film & TV star RAQUEL WELCH (“The most desired woman of the 70s” according to Playboy Magazine). The wider context for “Raquel’’s subject matter can be found within the song’s parent record – the startlingly original forthcoming Neon Neon concept album, ‘Stainless Style’, due early 2008.
