RUSSELL HASWELL and FLORIAN HECKER ï¬ÂÂrst met in Vienna in 1996. They have performed Computer Music concerts together numerous times at prestigious festivals and venues around the world. In 2003 Russell Haswell and Florian Hecker began a research project together centering around the use of Iannis Xenakis’ UPIC “graphic input” computer music composing system, and a residency at CCMIX Paris, where the UPIC is located.
‘UPIC Warp Tracks’ - is the second soujourn into their experimentations with this unique system, the first was released on Warner Classics in 2007.
Between them these pioneers have collaborated with artists such as APHEX TWIN and MERZBOW and have received awards for digital music PRIX ARS ELECTRONICA in Paris. Strictly limited to 1000 copies worldwide. THE MILK FACTORY “Exhilarating”
