Following on the heels of their critically acclaimed release ‘The History of Cut Nails in America’, SHORTSTACK is back with ‘The Covers EP’. Paying homage to the artists that have inspired them over the years, ‘The Covers EP’ is 5 tracks from the artists that have most inspired the band. As lead guitarist & vocalist ADRIAN CARROLL says, “These are songs that have influenced us, been a part of our live shows, and it just felt right that we took the time to record them.”
The 5 track EP represents a wide range of divergent originals - featuring covers of THE KINKS, CREDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL, CAPTAIN BEEFHEART, THE PUPILS (DANIEL HIGGS and ASA OSBOURNE of LUNGFISH), and the traditional song “Pretty Sara” ‘The Covers EP’ is SHORTSTACK’s attempt to push the boundaries of what people expect out of a band that is classified as Americana.
