Benjamin Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie brought together 14 of his favorite bands on one day in January of 2007 to create a portrait of one of the worlds most thriving music scenes for the themed performance series ‘Burn To Shine’ which has previously showcased acts from the cities Portland and Washington DC. Each band plays one song a piece and it is delivered here as it happened, in chronological order, in a jam packed 55 minutes.
The list of bands is impressive and diverse, but the performances have a range to them that makes this DVD collection infinitely watchable.
