Since 2005, the duo of KEVIN YOST and HORACE JAMES have been experimenting with the nu sounds of jazz fusion. Further open arms acceptance of their fusion flavor quickly became apparent amongst not only chill aficionados, but as well as jazz purists. This gave the team the momentum to collaborate further on what was to become this full-length album.
Finally completed after a year of studio work, this 13-track album can only be classified as a masterpiece of sheer electronic jazz brilliance. ‘Black Fuse’ is a mixture of Yost’s polished electronic music and James’ seasoned jazz perspective, providing an open door to the evolution of the modern musical fusion. In all this is one of the most sophisticated records ever released on the I RECORDS imprint and is destined to be one of it’s most treasured releases.
