Blessed with rockabilly swing, infectious melodies and a mighty fine turn of phrase, Sydney pop-rockers PEREGRINE fuse the lyrical and musical invention of ELVIS COSTELLO and GOMEZ with the classic commercial Australian rock offered by YOU AM I and POWDERFINGER.
This, the second album for the band, was produced by Daniel Denholm (Midnight Oil, The Cruel Sea, The Whitlams). Album opener “The Good Ship” has been on high rotation on FBi and follow-up “Dear John Letter” is being spun on JJJ, FBi and Brisbane’s 4ZZZ.
Album track “Everything’s Under Control” was chosen by the staff at Berlin TV station ASDTV for an “office lip dub”, which was promoted to the front page of YouTube Germany and has since been viewed by over 170,000 music lovers!
The band’s first album was rated four stars in The Australian and The Sydney Morning Herald, with JJJ including its only single Fingerpointing on its Home and Hosed compilation. Peregrine have recently completed a 16 date tour, which included regional centres, to promote the release of the album and will be following up with further tours in April, June and September.
Peregrine have recently performed live on FBI, 4ZZZ and Bay FM in Byron Bay.
