Plastic People

BEATS
After developing a very strong following at retail in Australia with their 2005 debut album ‘Boogie Angst’ (2CD version JAL44CD – still available) this Dutch trio release their even funkier (if that was possible!) sophomore album, ‘Plastic People’.
It wasn’t just with savvy retailers & punters that K&S made their mark – TRIPLE J picked up on their most famous track to date, a rework of “Man Of Constant Sorrow” (from the film ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou’) and it’s included here on CD for the first time!
They have had tracks featured on a huge range of comps & mixes incl. MINISTRY OF SOUND (AUS), FUZZY, RENNAISANCE, FINGER LICKIN, 18TH ST. LOUNGE, FORT KNOX, K7 and more.
This album shows a broader range of styles, but the first single “Squeeze Me” is their best track yet – quite possibly the catchiest track since ”Crazy” by GNARLS BARKLEY – seriously! It is currently burning up radio in the UK (spun by all key Radio 1 DJs) and will do the same here.
Collaborators on the album include MARK BRYDON from MOLOKO, BEN WESTBEECH (former artist on GILLES PETERSON’s BROWNSWOOD label who does the amazing vocals on “Squeeze Me”), STONES THROW MC & vocalist DUDLEY PERKINS & ‘80s UK jazz singer CARMEL.
