Australian born KARA GRAINGER has it all: classic songwriting skills, smooth sultry vocals, and the ability to whip up a storm with a fiery slide guitar. ‘Grand & Green River' was recorded in Los Angeles (where she has been based for two years) with producer DAVID KALISH (RICKIE LEE JONES, BEN HARPER) and BARRIE MAGUIRE (Amos Lee) at the helm, showcases a stunning line up of some of America's most celebrated musicians who have worked with the likes of JOHN LEE HOOKER, JACKSON BROWNE, STING, LITTLE FEAT, JAMES TAYLOR and LOS LOBOS. The album includes a duet with BLUE NOTE artist AMOS LEE with whom she toured nationally in 2007.
Kara has already won over local audiences at The Gympie Muster, Woodford, Blue Mountains Folk Festival, and The East Cost Blues Fest. In the US she has opened for ERIC JOHNSON & Little Feat.
