This second pairing in EDSEL’s CRYSTAL GAYLE reissue programme features two more albums produced by country music legend ALLEN REYNOLDS, with three tracks produced by JIMMY BOWEN (SINATRA, DEAN MARTIN, STEVE EARLE and many more). Nashville’s finest session musicians are featured playing another selection of songs from Nashville’s finest songwriters. ‘Hollywood, Tennessee’, released in September 1981, peaked at # 5 in the country charts and spawned three hit singles. ‘True Love’ (December 1982) reached # 14 and produced three # 1 singles. Crystal also delivers renditions of BILL WITHERS’ “Ain’t No Sunshine” and “Lean On Me”, BREAD’s “Everything I Own” and the EVERLY BROTHERS’ “Crying In The Rain”.
