This is a re-release of the first MONOLAKE album ‘Hongkong’, released in 1997 on CHAIN REACTION and out of print since some years.

This version of the album has been remastered and includes a never before released track “Mass Transit Railway” – based on a recording captured on a subway in Hong Kong.

The album is based completely on ambient recordings captured in Hong Kong & Guangzhou in 1996. Synthesizer solo on “Mass Transit Railway” by WIELAND SAMOLAK. Mastering of this second edition by RASHAD BECKER, edits by ROBERT HENKE.
