LUKE VIBERT is known for his work in many genres of music & has recorded under several different aliases, on labels like ASTRALWERKS, FFRR, MO’WAX, NINJA TUNE & WARP among others and has become known for his superslick beatmaking and positive expression.
SIMMONDS, aka VOAFOSE, has remained a collaborator, background influence and spiritual advisor to Luke for years and released his debut solo album on Rephlex at the end of 2006.
This is a collection of electronic music variations that touch on stripped electro, sino textures, Acid reductions and even some squashed rhymes for your listening pleasure. It’s a raw, beautifully analogue affair that manages to temper some of Vibert’s more overtly kitsch instincts without getting rid of his effortless funk and sci-fi styles. Essential electronic beats!
