‘One To The Other' is WOLF & CUB's first new material since their debut album release in September 2006, and a clear indication the band are set for even bigger and better things in 2009!
Adelaide based Wolf & Cub released their debut (DASH004CD: ‘Vessels'), via DOT DASH in September 2006. The album was cumulatively praised and resulted in an international signing with 4AD (THE BREEDERS, BLONDE REDHEAD, SCOTT WALKER).
The band have shared stages with TV ON THE RADIO THE KILLERS, THE MUSIC, WOLFMOTHER, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, HOT HOT HEAT, FUTUREHEADS and DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979. They've also played blistering sets at the MEREDITH MUSIC FESTIVAL, HOMEBAKE, BIG DAY OUT and SXSW, as well as headlined their own national tours.
The EP has four brand new tracks and is strictly limited to ONE PRESSING ONLY. The title track is a raw, high-energy rock anthem that mixes up early 90s psychedelic guitar with the powerful grooves Wolf & Cub so indubitably lock into. The EP also features a Bumblebeez remix of "One To The Other" plus the raw punk fuelled, drum n bass track "Relief", as well as the slow building, explosive psyche track "Master".
Wolf & Cub are on the verge of recording their second album, to be released on the DOT DASH label later in 2008. The band have called upon Christopher Colonna - front man and the brains behind electro-pop, punk-beats outfit the ‘BUMBLEBEEZ' - to produce their new EP and forthcoming album. Known for his manic, raw and ridiculously energetic aesthetic, Colonna has shaken things up in a very commendable way.
The band also recently signed a deal with DOMINO PUBLISHING for the US, Europe and UK. Domino represent a veritable army of amazing writers and musicians including BONNIE PRINCE BILLY, VASHTI BUNYAN, DIPLO and SPIRITUALIZED.
