Sci Fi Hi Fi Vol 5
Soma
TECHNO
Following on from LUCIANO, EWAN PEARSON, ALEX SMOKE & FUNK D’VOID, Soma label bosses SLAM drop their 1st DJ Mix in 2 yrs with ‘Sci-Fi Hi-Fi - Vol 5’ in the series.
Their mix is a heady blend of forward-thinking, mind-bending organic, groove-based techno, starting with their trademark deep spacey sonic tones & building in intensity throughout, from minimal to Latin beats & even some disco, travelling a road of crisp beats & dark bass.
“This mix is tribute to our Return To Mono night at the Sub Club in Glasgow,” says ORDE, ”This is as near to what we would do in a club as you can get on one CD,“ adds STUART. “We also wanted to include some new, unreleased/exclusive Slam material”.
Slam have put together much more than just a collection of the latest tracks. These are the records that really have been hitting all the right buttons for the pair. As clichéd as it is to call it a “journey”, no word can better describe Slam’s impressive DJ mix. A mix that also includes local heroes POXY MUSIC w’ the CLAUDE VON STROKE mix of “War Paint” alongside Slams exclusives “City Destroyer” (already receiving plays from the likes of HAWTIN and BEYER), &
“What’s On Your Mind?”
