POST ROCK
Children Of The Wave present ‘Carapace’, their debut album, filled with experiments in pop, ethnic-melds, near-country, acoustics, found sounds, field recordings, and cinematic abstractures of the most textural inclination. Think early Animal Colective, Mum, Grand Salvo , Tuung, and even early Brian Eno, maybe..
‘Carapace’ was born out of experimentation in which the duo took inspiration from a vast palette and have created a sound quite unique with elements of pastoral pop, field recordings imbedded in textural loops, harmonies, organs, harmonica and clarinet.
Included n the recording are variousl exotic and esoteric instruments and sounds including Balanese field recordings, samples of rain and thunder,
Carapace was mastered by Byron Scullin (KES BAND, Midnight Juggernauts, Laura Jean).
