Japanese turntablist sensation DJ KENTARO mixes up PRESSURE SOUNDS tracks!!
Kentaro is a world champion ‘scratcher’ and DJ (and recent Oz visitor) who is signed to NINJA TUNE outside of Japan, has added something new to tracks from Pressure Sounds. He nearly actually became a reggae sound system selector before starting to move more towards hip hop and dance music.
When we asked him if he would be interested in doing this project he was immediately positive and enthusiastic. It’s a unique album with a strong leaning towards the more ‘dub’ and instrumental side in the track selection. Amongst the 30 tracks are featured LEE ‘SCRATCH’ PERRY, PRINCE FAR I, HUGH MUNDELL, KING TUBBY, THE REVOLUTIONARIES, JOE HIGGS and many more.
Japanese import, hence the higher price.
