CUT OFF YOUR HANDS have been riding high on a wave of critical acclaim and attention since their inception in 2006. Their music is undeniably infectious, the quartet mix all the bliss of poppy dance-punk with aggressive garage-rock, putting their own touches on a sound that refuses to go away.
‘You & I’ has been produced by Bernard Butler - ex SUEDE guitarist and the man responsible for producing bands and albums such as THE LIBERTINES, THE VERVE and MANIC STREET PREACHERS. The debut album is jammed full of razor-sharp guitars and Brixton vocals, it’s a skittering art-influenced brand of proto-punk indie rock that is sure to attract them an overwhelming amount of attention in coming months.
‘You & I’ is available in two formats: a standard version or a limited CD+DVD version. There is also an extremely limited amount of bonus 1for1 Rarities CD’s on offer for a short time only.
COYH kick started the New Year with performances at Australia’s New Years Eve
FALLS FESTIVAL. The band also performed as part of the
ST JEROME’S LANEWAY festival circuit, and the popular
BIG DAY OUT festival in 2007 and 2008. The energetic quartet have been touring non-stop throughout America and the UK, even performing at Iceland’s
AIRWAVES festival and Japan’s popular
SUMMERSONIC festival. They have headlined shows of their own, as well as supporting a number of internationals acts including
DOES IT OFFEND YOU YEAH, RATATAT, BLOC PARTY and
THE WOMBATS. Momentum and favour is already snowballing. The UK are smitten and the US is about to fall for them too. It’s inevitable that these chaps are about to infect us all with their intense punk-pop-tunes and energized live-on-stage antics.
