The Phenomenal Handclap Band is a tight-knit aggregation of musicians and artists from lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, centered around co-founders Daniel Collás and Sean Marquand. After years of searching and contemplation, the duo have finally succeeded in assembling the personification of their holy vision: a musical juggernaut comprised of themselves and their supremely talented friends.
‘The Phenomenal Handclap Band’ perfectly blend anthemic dancefloor oriented electro, rock, disco, and 60s soul, with sprinklings of hip hop-styled orchestral breakbeats and moody, synth-heavy hooks. Lady Tigra's (L'TRIMM) jump-rope rhymes on "15 to 20" are already hugely favoured by many at TRIPLE J, as well as being billed by BBC RADIO 1’s Zane Lowe as boasting the “vintage sounds of BLONDIE and ESG with some CSS and JAMES MURPHY thrown in”. It’s the soon-to-be classic summer jam of 2009 !
