The series so-far has pitted Cults, Greg Dulli and A.C Newman against their favourite Leonard Cohen classics.

Bradford took on a solo-acoustic version of the 1969 ballad “Seems So Long Ago Nancy” mentioning his pull towards the song ”ever since the first time I heard it, I thought it was the most haunting song I’d ever heard.”

Toro Y Moi looks back with the release of the retrospective ‘June 2009′ box-set.

The set includes a 7″ vinyl collection comprised of 10 songs previously only released as a tour CD-R, including the gorgeous track “Dead Pontoon”.

“Dead Pontoon” is a deadly cool jam, angling in some real swinging 70′s character with Chad getting harmonic in a short blastey 2:25.

Brooklyn band Here We Go Magic return with the clip-clopping single “Make Up Your Mind” taken from the forthcoming album ‘A Different Ship’.

‘A Different Ship’ was produced by Radiohead producer and sixth member Nigel Godrich who became ‘a big fan’ after watching their set at the 2010 Glastonbury Festival, accompanied by Thom Yorke.

“Make Up Your Mind” is a seemingly fun yet mildly 60′s country-psych jam – with tightly plucked guitar, pattered drums and whispered chanty vocals!

‘A Different Ship’ is due out May 8th on Secretly Canadian through Inertia

The band performed two tracks, “Holocene” and “Beth/Rest” with re-sounding applause from the audience on both counts!

2012 is set to be a big year for the group with a Flaming Lips collaboration on the horizon, 4 Grammy nominations and a Coachella Festival appearance.

Memoryhouse let-go another lo-fi glower “Walk With Me” from the muchly anticipated full-length debut ‘The Slideshow Effect’.

There are a lot of things to like about the Toronto based duo – it may be the consistently cleansing feeling you get from a first listen or the softly built staging of one track to another.

“Walk With Me” is all of those things and more, nothing feels pressured or pushed just an organized yet organic approach to creating moving music!

Steve Reich, the world renowned minimalist composer, has announced that he will be reworking ‘Everything In Its Right Prize’ from the band’s ‘Kid A’ album, and ‘Jigsaw Falling Into Place’ from ‘In Rainbows’ as part of a piece called ‘Radio Rewrite’.

It’s come to light these won’t be direct covers but interpretations of the original tracks with inspiration drawn from meeting the band in Poland of all places.
