Back in the summer of 2003 it was a tumultuous year in the Australian town of Melbourne. Beer prices had just risen, the spiritual density of the town was at an all time low & it was damn warm! Simon, Karl & Darren (the remaining members of local outfit The Sound Platform) had been at their local watering hole distraught with the state of this countries vinyl record slump & decided to do something about it! They formed LOW TRANSIT INDUSTRIES!

With a soup box in hand & a song in their heart they agreed to release a string of 7 inches under the name Singles Club Split 7 Inch Collective & the new record from Brooklyn pop sensations The Essex Green. People loved the label from word go with it's big heart, focus on quality & dedication to their art.

Before they new it was 2006 & they were 40 odd releases down the track. With the future looking bright the boys venture into new realms including touring & the digital era.
