Mixology Digital Records was founded in 2004 by Oz dj/producer BeXta as a vessel to release her own music and music from established and up and coming producers from Australia.
The label originally started off under the name KMA records after BeXta turned down offers from the major record companies, deciding to release it herself (KMA stood for Kiss My Arse - a cheeky message to the majors!!), and it did suprisingly well (no8 on the ARIA indy album charts).
BeXta changed the name to Mixology Digital when she started signing up other talent and became an international label. Today Mixology Digital Records has a small swag of exclusive artists from all across Oz and the label is pushing Australian music not just on our shores, but globally as well.
Stylistically, the music on Mixology Digital Records is vast, but has one common theme, it is all great sounding music, well produced and as BeXta says "style doesn't matter, if it's good, i'm gunna sign it and push it".
Although Mixology Digital Records is still in it's relative infancy, it's release schedule is full up til 2008, with some new BeXta tracks and rereleases, a debut album from tyDi amd some serious offerings from Patrik Carrera, 33, and the identical twins "2 Faced".
