    Although hailing from two different sides of the globe, Scotland’s Frightened Rabbit and Brooklyn’s The National have a lot in common. Both specialise in dense metaphor and literate pop. Both have a fascination with the dark and morose. It shouldn’t be surprising, then, that Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchinson performed a unique rendition of The National’s classic, “Fake Empire”, while on stage in San Francisco recently.   • 6:11am Video: Frightened Rabbit Perform Acoustic on Bondi Beach!

    While Scotland’s Frightened Rabbit were in Australia recently – off the back of St. Jeromes Laneway Festival – we managed to hook them up with Sydney’s premiere propagator of single-shot unplugged goodness, Shoot The Player. Heading down to sunny Bondi Beach, the band stood in a rockpool and did a stunning acoustic rendition of “Swim Until You Can’t See Land” (great name for a song, bad advise to beachgoers).
